The use of lettering and typography even has influenced computers by the use of fonts. This is an art that is many centuries older than any others. It obviously predates the use of formal written language, thus is the evolution of symbolism in ancient cultures and is still evolving even today.

The art and science of typography is a heritage that has been passed down through cultures over many generations. Typography is part of our human evolution.
